It is critical to good scoring that a golfer know exactly how far they hit each club in the air. When trying to hit over a penalty area like a pond, there can be no mistake in calculating the yardage or selecting the wrong club.
If you do not know your club yardages, find a pro with a launch monitor and spend an hour figuring out how far you hit each club. There should be no guessing on the golf course! The amount of confidence you have standing over a difficult shot, knowing that you have a club in your hand, and getting you easily over the trouble in front of you, is comforting!
