Today I talk about getting out of trouble, hitting out of mulch or pine straw, or a combination of both.  It would be best if you considered moving any loose pine straw or mulch around where you are standing.  These are considered loose impediments, so it is quite legal to clear these from your stance area. Brush or scrape this away. Be very careful about how you move the pine staw in particular.  If your ball moves, there will be a penalty.  So move the loose impediments that are near your ball with caution. I'm glad I played pick-up sticks as a child!

In this video, I also have an added problem—an out-of-bounds stake. You cannot move an out-of-bounds stake.  We call this an immovable obstruction.  So I have to figure out how to swing without hitting the stake on my downswing and extricating the ball out of the mulch and down the fairway.  So obviously, the good footing is important!
